This safari will take you to the famous parks of Rwanda with variety of activities that is to say you will visit Akagera National park, Volcanoes National park, Nyungwe forest, Lake Kivu, and the cultural city of Butare.
You will trek gorillas, chimpanzees, Golden monkeys, game viewing in Akagera park, relaxation and boat ride on Lake Kivu, visit the Gisozi  genocide memorial.

8 Day Gorilla, chimpanzee, wildlife and Lake Kivu safari Rwanda itinerary

 Day 1 visit the Gisozi genocide and the Drive to Akagera park
On your arrival at the air port you will be  welcomed by our  company guide and then have  a simple briefing a bout the safari and then you will visit the Gisozi genocide memorial and after wards you will drive straight to Akagera National park. You will check into your lodge for relaxation.

Day 2 Morning Game drive and Boat trip Lake Ihema
Early in the morning you will set off for the game viewing in Akagera park and at this time  there is an opportunity to see animals at a close range  and in big heard and others when they are preparing them selves for the morning hunting.

You will see Antelopes, Buffaloes, Elephants, Leopards, Masaai Giraffes, the Impala, waterbucks birds of different species and many more.
You will return to the lodge for relaxation as you prepare your self  for the afternoon boat trip. After lunch you will set off for the boat trip and this is rewarding  seeing aquatic animals  like crocodile, Buffaloes, Hippos, water birds fishing in the swallows of the lakes. You will even take lovely shots and also you will wild animals as you are on your way to this trip. Enjoying fresh air on the Lake is the best moment ever.

Day 3 Drive to Nyungwe forest National park
Early morning you will have break fast and and start your way to Nyungwe forest  and a stop over i Butare will be to explore a lot of historical things and then after proceed to Nyungwe. you check into your lodge at your arrival for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4 Chimpanzee trekking- Nyungwe forest
Early in the morning you will have break fast  and then briefing by the guide after you set off for chimpanzee trekking in the forest. During trekking you will come across other primates since there 13 species of them, also mammals will be seen the forest has 75 species and birds 300 plus species are found here, butterflies, plants, flowers are also not left out during this activity.

When you come a cross chimpanzees you will make use of your camera, see them eating fruits, and many more. After it will be time to connect to the lodge you refresh, relax bit and then join the community walk where by you will explore local farms and local traditional dance performances. In the evening you will connect to your booked lodge for over night.

Day 5 colobus Monkey trekking and canopy walk
Early morning break fast and then start your journey to colobus monkey trekking which is an interesting activity in Nyungwe and these species a r black and white almost close to 400 monkeys. You will have an opportunity to see jumping  from one tree to another with their young ones and  during this moment you will make use of your cameras.
After you will get back to the booked lodge for freshening up and then in the after noon you will join the canopy walk which is an amazing activity with amazing sight. You will see birds of different species flying a above you as well as monkeys jumping on tree branches and many more .This will give you an opportunity to explore the forest to the climax.

Day 6 Drive to Lake Kivu ( Gisenyi )
After morning break fast you will check out from the lodge and then drive heading to Lake Kivu which is 7-8 drive. The journey is so pleasant since the drive is a long the Congo Nile. When you arrive in Gisenyi you will check into your lodge.

Day 7 Boat cruise on Lake Kivu
Morning break fast and then  yu take a boat trip on Lake Kivu where you will have an opportunity of seeing water birds, butterflies of different species and many more ,you will explore the lake to your climax and then connect to the lodge after every thing. You will relax at the beach a you enjoy fresh air from the lake and taking lovely shots.
In the afternoon you will pull off to Volcanoes National park where you are trek gorillas at your arrival after a 2 hour journey you will check into your lodge  for relaxation.

Day 8 Gorilla trekking -Volcanoes National park
Early morning you prepare your self for the trekking activity by heading to head offices for briefing and after you pull off for the activity to the park and always groups of 8 people maximum are allowed. The guide is always present to help you where necessary as you ask questions and is answering. These apes always move for new nest building and so you should be physically fit for the activity. When you come across them look into their eyes, make use of your camera and many more as always instructed by the guides.
After the activity will start your journey  back to Kigali for your flight and hence the end of 8 Day Gorilla, chimpanzee, wildlife and Lake Kivu safari Rwanda.
