 5 day Kibale chimpanzee trek and Bwindi impenetrable forest

You trek the chimpanzee with other primates species over twelve in number including red tailed monkeys, baboons, black and white colobus and Bigodi Wetlands with an abundance of Birds, wildlife in Kibale Forest National park,   Trek  mountain Gorillas along with eleven other primates, 300 plus Bird species in Bwindi impenetrable forest.

Day 1 Depart to Kibale forest National park

You will depart Kampala very early in the morning to the west with our guide to Kibale forest one of the great African rain forest for chimpanzee trekking famous for variety of primates and birds, the journey is pleasant one you will be able to see Rwenzori mountains but in distance while approaching Kibale forest. Arrive at Kibale forest and check into your lodge have lunch and then next is the Bigodi wet land walk.

In the after noon you will head to the Bigodi wet land guided walk which takes 3-2 hours. The Bigodi wet land is known a paradise for birders with about 100+ species it also hosts 8 species of primates including red tailed monkey ,olive baboons, black and white colobus and many more can also here.  After every thing you will return to the lodge for dinner and over night.

Day2 chimpanzee trekking and the 12 primates
After an early break fast we head for chimpanzee trekking and you should be able to move along distance since they don’t stay in one area. Chimpanzee trekking is the most famous forest walk and popular daily primate walk, you will also find other primates during the trek. Chimps are found by listening to their pant-hooting calls and  then you will be heading to the area where they are calling from.

Chimpanzee trekking can take up to 3 hours. Observing, staying and taking close shots of the chimpanzee takes one hour. During the trek you will need long- sleeved shirts,long trousers,a light rain-jacket,hiking boots. After the trek you will return to your booked lodge for dinner and over night

Day 3 Drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest

After an early fast we check out and then star a journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest ,we drive through Ishasha sector south of Queen Elizabeth National park and see the tree climbing lions you will be guided so as you are able to see these lions hitching in the fig trees and this will give you opportunity to take close shots of the lions and you will have lunch and then continue.

Remember a drive through Isasha depends on weather seasons s rainy season automatically it will be a direct drive  to Bwindi so as avoid wastage of time on the way. At the arrival in the park  you will check into your preferred lodge for dinner and over night depending on  where your permit is for in the park.

Day 4 Gorilla Trekking – Bwindi forest
After an early break fast you head to the head offices for orientation before heading to the trek , you should have walking stick, dressed in long trousers ,long sleeved shirts, having a rain jacket with you jungle boots with your packed lunch and the guide.

The trek is through the rain forest and bamboo covered slopes, a group of 8 people will go at once for the trek, and you should be able to walk along distance since these giants keep on moving from one other and be ready to walk in muddy conditions and wet floor.
On your trek be able to encounter 10 other primates in the jungle. When you come across a gorilla family with in 5 meters from the gorillas you will sit around them gazing into their brown eyes, taking photo graphs and this will be for hour and simply a powerful memorable experience to see these animals up close.
After the experience you will  connect to the lodge depending your energy and time  from the tracking you can take a village walk, interact with the local people and engage in many other activities Dinner and over night at your lodging.

Day 3:- Return to Kampala 
After morning healthy breakfast, prepare for the journey back to Kampala, on our way we will pass by the Equator and take pictures,  Drums Makers Mpigi village and of course you will enjoy lunch, continue to Kampala arrival will be in the evening.
