3 Day Mountain Nyiragongo hike Congo

Our 3 days mountain Nyiragongo hike takes you to congo and Rwanda, and the two countries are very well known for gorilla trekking adventure worldwide. Mountain Nyiragongo in Congo gives you a clear view of virunga national park Africa’s oldest protected area.

Day 1: Transfer to Gisenyi.
Arrive at the airport, your will be picked by our representatives who will transfer you to Gisenyi, Rwanda. Enjoy a number of optional activities ranging from Kigali city tour, visiting the Iby’iwacu Cultural village, boat ride on Lake Kivu and visiting the Volcanoes National Park, later dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 2: Hike Nyiragongo Mountain.
Have breakfast and head out for adventure. You will cross the border and then head to the Virunga National Park at the Kibati Ranger post where you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts. Meals, sticks and rain gear will be provided to you. Porters will also be available for those who would like help in carrying their luggage.

While at the top, get to enjoy the breath taking view of the lava and the active volcano. After a long enjoyable experience retire at the hut for dinner and overnight stay at the mountain top.

Day 3: Descend the Mountain.
Have breakfast and thereafter descend from the Volcano Mountain while enjoying the different views of Lake Kivu, the Virunga National Park and the city of Goma. Later on you will be transferred back to Kigali to catch with your flight back home.
