Bulago Island Day Trip from Kampala, Uganda is a day tour to Bulago Island – a 500-acre island, located in Lake Victoria. The Island is only a 45-minute boat ride from Entebbe’ s boat club in good weather. Flights from Kampala air strip are available and the journey takes about 15 minutes.)

We start our 1 Day Bulago Island Uganda safari tour from Kampala or Entebbe and its a full day trip to Bulago Island on Lake Victoria – a 500 acre privately-owned island lying some 35 Kilometers south of Kampala. The boat journey takes about 1 hour.

You will be transferred by road from Kampala to Entebbe or Munyonyo Sp eke Resort, Pier Water Front for a boat transfer to the Bulago Island which departs at 1000 Hours. Picked-up by speed-boat and ferried across the Equator to Bulago – a beautiful island with white, sandy beaches, clear, fresh water and being a privately-owned island  which is so beautiful.

Fishing for Nile Perch, Additional activities include sailing, swimming, croquet, horse riding, bird watching,  boating and water sports. One of the largest lakes in Africa, Lake Victoria’s shoreline is made up of rocky outcrops and low cliffs.

Around the shore the soil is highly fertile and covered with trees. The northeast tip of the island is lost to a rain forest that is rich with beautiful flowers,trees of different species,and some mammals. The interior of the island is less fertile and is covered with Savannah- like grassland. Expect to see more than 200 species including crocodiles and monitor lizards.
With sweeping views over Lake Victoria guests can choose to unwind in one of six luxury chalets along the beach. The resort also offers four family sized units and one honeymoon/ VIP cottage.
